Squier Affinity: used price in the UK
What a used Squier Affinity sells for, what to check and what usually goes wrong. Updated September 2026.
| Used, working order | £85 - £165 |
|---|---|
| New price (RRP) | £219 |
| How fast it sells | Sells very fast |

| Condition | What it sells for | When this band applies |
|---|---|---|
| New or mint | £100 - £190 | Sealed or never used |
| Excellent, like new | £90 - £180 | Barely used, no visible marks |
| Good working order | £85 - £165 | The range at the top of this page |
| Minor marks, fully working | £80 - £155 | A few chips or scratches mentioned |
| Well used, heavy wear | £75 - £145 | Worn, scuffed or road-worn |

A repaired neck or headstock is the exception: the extension takes 30-50% off a guitar with a glued break, even when it plays perfectly.
About this model
Squier's entry-level range: Strats, Teles and others, including the 2021 redesign. It sells fast to beginners, but the margin is thin.
A Classic Vibe sells for much more, and a Sonic or Bullet for less. Check the headstock decal, because all of them get listed as 'Squier Strat'.
What to check before you buy
- Sight down the neck for twist or bow
- Check truss rod turns (a few degrees, not more)
- Look at the headstock join for repair lines
- Plug in: every pickup position and both pots
- Fret wear under strings 1-3 near the nut
Common faults and rough repair costs
| Fault | Fix | Rough cost |
|---|---|---|
| Crackly / scratchy pots or jacks | Easy - DIY, no special tools | £5-£12 |
| Needs a setup | Easy - DIY, no special tools | £0-£50 |
| Intermittent signal / loose connection | Medium - soldering / disassembly / YouTube guide | £3-£25 |
| Neck / headstock break | Hard - specialist repair, usually not worth it | £80-£250 |
| Tuner / machine head | Easy - DIY, no special tools | £10-£45 |
Questions people ask about this model
Is a Squier Affinity worth flipping?
Only when bought cheap. It sells very fast to beginners, but the top of the range is £165, so fees and postage take most of a small spread. Bundles with an amp sell best.
Affinity, Sonic or Classic Vibe: which is it?
Check the headstock decal. Classic Vibe is the best and sells highest, Affinity is in the middle, and Sonic and Bullet are the cheapest.
What usually needs doing to a used Affinity?
A setup and fresh strings. Scratchy pots and loose output jacks are common and cheap to fix, so they are fair reasons to offer less.
Selling one on
Steady year-round; peaks Sept-Dec. Fender/Gibson/PRS/Squier/Epiphone sell within days at the right price, obscure brands take weeks.
Ship in a hard case or at least a gig bag in a box - or sell collection-only. Loosen strings for courier.
Where this price comes from
This is the range the flipper extension uses for a used Squier Affinity in working order in the UK. It is a starting point, not a quote: condition, extras, the original box and where you are all move the price, and faulty ones sell for much less.
The condition bands above are the same multipliers the extension applies to a listing. On a live Marketplace listing, flipper checks that range against real sold prices and live eBay listings for the exact model, works out your profit after fees and flags faults the seller mentions. It is free while in testing. Join the testers.
