Not yet, unless you're a tester. flipper. is on the Chrome Web Store as a private listing, so only people on the tester list can install it. Join the tester list and you'll get an email with the install link when there's a place.

It's built and tested for Chrome on a computer. Other browsers built on Chromium can usually install Chrome Web Store extensions too. It doesn't run on phones, because mobile browsers don't run Chrome extensions.

Yes, for now. Prices are in pounds, the price data comes from eBay UK and the fee rates are UK rates. Facebook Marketplace works the same way everywhere, but the numbers wouldn't be right for another country.

Nothing while it's in testing. If that changes, the price will be on this site before you're asked to sign up for anything. There'll be no card needed to try it, and you'll be able to cancel in one click inside the extension.

It depends on the source, and flipper. always tells you which source it's using. A range you verified yourself, or real sold prices, is only as good as the sales behind it. The built-in estimate for a model is an educated starting point, and it's labelled as one.

Treat it as triage. It tells you which few listings on a page deserve a closer look. The closer look is still yours.

There are six sources, most trusted first:

1. a range you verified yourself
2. confirmed sales from eBay's Product Research
3. eBay sold prices recorded while you browse
4. live eBay asking prices, if you add your own eBay keys
5. asking prices you've seen on Marketplace and eBay
6. a built-in range: over 800 of them, about 600 for specific models and the rest for brands and families

Press Price source on any assessment to see every figure behind the number. You can delete any recorded price that looks wrong.

When a seller accepts an offer, eBay's public sold listing still shows the original asking price, not what the buyer paid. On used gear that's a lot of sales, so raw sold prices run high. When eBay marks a sale "Best offer accepted", flipper. keeps it out of the estimate. eBay doesn't mark every one, so for what buyers really paid, flipper. also reads eBay's Product Research, which records accepted offers at the real price.

It's built for music gear. That covers synths, drum machines, guitars, basses, amps, pedals, keyboards, drum kits, mixers, audio interfaces, microphones, studio monitors, DJ gear and outboard. About 600 specific models have their own built-in price range, and brands and families have wider ones. Sold prices for special versions such as anniversary, limited, signature and reissue models are kept separate from the standard ones. Anything it can't match gets a rough category estimate, clearly labelled.

Profit is the realistic quick-sale price, minus the selling fee where you'll sell it, minus any repair cost, minus what you pay. When a listing needs a repair, flipper. also takes 5 to 40% off the resale price, depending on how hard the fix is. The max offer is the most you can pay and still hit the return you've set, which is 40% unless you change it. The calculator on the home page uses the same formula and fee rates as the extension.

Not yet. A shared price pool is planned: testers who switch it on would share the outcomes of their own deals, meaning the model, what they paid, spent on repair and sold for, where it sold and the month, plus its rough condition and how far flipper.'s own estimate was out. Nothing flipper. reads from eBay or Facebook would ever be in it, and nor would links, listing text, names or exact dates.

It will be off unless you switch it on, you'll be able to see every row before anything is sent, and the privacy policy will be updated before it starts.

No. flipper. reads eBay's public sold pages when you open them. Two things are optional. The Confirmed sales source reads eBay's Product Research, which needs you signed in to an eBay account with access to Product Research in Seller Hub. For live asking prices from across eBay UK, you can add your own free eBay developer keys in Settings.

No. Photo inspection is optional. If you want it, add a key for Google Gemini, Anthropic or OpenRouter in Settings. Google's free tier doesn't need a card. Bear in mind Google's terms allow free-tier content to be used to improve their models.

Signing in is optional. If you do sign in, flipper. holds your email address and checks your sign-in about once a day. Its server never receives listings, prices or deals.

No. Everything flipper. learns, including prices, deals, drafts, photos and settings, is kept in your browser on your computer. Data leaves only for optional features you switch on. Signing in talks to flipper.'s server; photo inspection and live eBay prices go straight to the provider you chose. The privacy policy lists every case.

That's Chrome's standard wording for any extension that works on a website. flipper. needs it to read the listing you're looking at and to show its panel on the page. It only reads pages you open yourself. It doesn't read your messages, your profile or your friends.

We can't speak for Facebook. What we can tell you is what flipper. does. It doesn't log in for you, message anyone, post anything or open pages on its own. It reads the page in front of you. It does two things, each only when you press its button: Scan whole page scrolls a search page, and Fill from flipper. fills in Facebook's listing form. It never presses Publish.

Parts of flipper. can stop working until an update fixes them. It keeps count of pages it couldn't read and warns you, so it doesn't go quiet on you. The Diagnose this tab button in the popup shows exactly what it can and can't read.

Remove the extension and everything it stored on your computer goes with it, apart from any backup file you saved to your Downloads folder. You can also clear prices, deals and drafts individually inside it. To delete a flipper. account, email support@gear-flipper.com.
