About this model

The current version of the most-bought beginner piano. A new one was £339 at Thomann UK in October 2026 and £375 at Andertons, and sold examples that month ran about £234 to £352 without a stand, so a used one is rarely a big saving on this model.

Play every key for clicks and dead notes, and check both the sustain pedal and the power supply are in the box. The three-pedal unit is a separate part and is often missing.

Questions people ask about this model

Is a used P-145 worth it when a new one is £339?

Sometimes. In October 2026 sold examples ran about £234 to £352 without a stand, so the saving over a new one is often under £100. It is worth it when the seller has the pedal and the power lead; new comes with both, plus a warranty.

What should I check on a used Yamaha P-145?

Every key, for clicks, dead notes and uneven weighting. Then the sustain pedal and the power supply: the three-pedal unit is a separate part and is usually missing from listings.

Will a P-145 be hard to sell on again?

No. It is the current beginner model and it sells quickly to parents and students. It is 88 keys, so price it for local collection rather than posting.

Selling one on

Yamaha P-45/P-125, Roland FP-10/30, Casio Privia sell within days - parents and students buy constantly. Console pianos with furniture stands are slow (nobody wants to move them).

Collection only; 88-key units are 12-20kg and awkward. Include stand and pedal if you can.

Where this price comes from

This is the range the flipper extension uses for a used Yamaha P-145 in working order in the UK. It is a starting point, not a quote: condition, extras, the original box and where you are all move the price, and faulty ones sell for much less.

The condition bands above are the same multipliers the extension applies to a listing. On a live Marketplace listing, flipper checks that range against real sold prices and live eBay listings for the exact model, works out your profit after fees and flags faults the seller mentions. It is free while in testing. Join the testers.
