Roland FP-30X vs Yamaha P-125: used prices compared

UK used prices side by side, what each one tends to need fixing, and which keeps more of its value. Updated October 2026.

Quick answer: Used, the Yamaha P-125 is the cheaper of the two: £255 to £330 against £350 to £460 for the Roland FP-30X, usually about £110 apart. The ranges do not overlap, so the cheaper model is cheaper in any condition.

The difference

Both are 88-key weighted pianos aimed at the same buyer, and they are the next step up from the P-45 and FP-10. The FP-30X is the newer design, with louder speakers and Bluetooth for audio as well as MIDI. The P-125 is lighter and usually the cheaper of the two used.
