Korg Volca Keys vs Novation Circuit Tracks: used prices compared
UK used prices side by side, what each one tends to need fixing, and which keeps more of its value. Updated October 2026.
Quick answer: Used, the Korg Volca Keys is the cheaper of the two: £65 to £80 against £175 to £205 for the Novation Circuit Tracks, usually about £120 apart. The ranges do not overlap, so the cheaper model is cheaper in any condition.

The difference
Both are small, battery-powered and cheap enough to buy without much thought, and they are for different jobs. The Volca Keys is a synth you play: a small keyboard, an analogue filter and a sixteen-step sequencer. The Circuit Tracks has no keyboard at all. It has a grid of pads, two synth voices and four audio tracks, so a beat, a bass line and a sampled loop can run together and be recorded straight off the machine. Neither one holds its value: both change hands for well under half of what they cost new, and both sell quickly. The wear points differ too. A Circuit is judged on how long its battery still lasts, and a Volca is often offered without the 9V supply it needs.
Which to buy
- The Korg Volca Keys if you want to play a synth with keys and would rather spend under a hundred pounds.
- The Novation Circuit Tracks if you want beats, bass lines and samples in one battery-powered box with no computer.
Which keeps more of its value
On the ranges in the table the Korg Volca Keys keeps about 62% of what a new one costs, and the Novation Circuit Tracks about 59%. Buying the Novation Circuit Tracks second-hand saves more against new, and the Korg Volca Keys is the one that loses least if you sell it on later. That is arithmetic on our own ranges, and it says nothing about how fast either sells - the row above answers that. All 31 models with figures: gear that holds its value.
